Sticking with what you know you'll love to do the rest of your life.

Hey you! You made it through the first month of the year already! Give yourself a pat on the back, or treat yourself to a nice beverage, preferably warm if your in a winter situation, but if your in a warm area…well I’m jealous.
In other news, I started working at Newton.co this week as a designer. Super excited to be joining the team at an early stage and ready for the opportunity and challenge. (talk about the best onboarding experience too 😍)
For context, I have been working as a “creative” in the design field for 10+ years. First in high-school designing “logos” (didn’t even what one was at the time) then doing freelance jobs while going to college for the diploma, and then fresh out of college right into the workforce. Now I land a dream job.
There were many times where I doubted if I was even in the “right” field; whatever that means. Many times where I thought about doing something else, or pivoting(which I think its okay to do as well). But I stuck it out.
Stick it out. Keep going. If you know you love do it, stick with it.
In whatever field you’re in or want to be; know its going to be a long time before you get there, know there might be roadblocks that will want to stop you or delay you. Roll with it, but don’t give up on it. Be persistent. Double down on your will to fight for it.
And be kind to yourself as well.
Hope you all make the most of February. ✌️ + ❤️
I love sharing what I’ve been up to lately and this
📚 Currently reading: Essentialism - Greg Mckeown. Been enjoying getting “back to the basics” of things. What matters and getting rid of what doesn’t. Less is more. Less but better. It is quite the must read. The disciplined pursuit of less.
🏡 Currently inspired: Why Youtube is Making You A Bad Filmmaker - Patrick Tomasso. I’m obsessed with Patrick’s style of videos, but more importantly this video that talks about the importance of executing on dumb ideas. It may not mean a lot at first, but its super inspiring and it will lead to better filmmaking, better story-writing and much more!
✏️ Currently using: Notion - One workspace. Every team. I rave about this product to basically everyone I come across. It has literally, without a doubt transformed my life. It acts like a second brain, but it’s so much more. If you want to chat about it, DM me.
